Kessel scores in shootout, Bruins win

The Bruins were able to shut down Washington Capitals All-Star Alexander Ovechkin (0 points and only 2 shots on goal) and go to the shootout where Phil Kessel scored the game-winner. Kessel is now 3 for 3 on shootout attempts in his short NHL career. Marc Savard had 2 assists in the game. Newcomer Brandon Bochenski played on the second line and scored a goal. Jeremy Reich played on the third line and had 8 minutes of ice time. He got into a fight with Capitals' Ben Clymer in the first period and was totaled with only 1 hit in the game, but I saw him make three hits. The final score of the game was 3-2.

The Bruins are now 24-24-4 and play the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night.
