Cool Bruins wallpapers for your desktop

There are some nice Boston Bruins wallpapers for your PC's desktop on BostonBruins.com. Make sure to check it out. I downloaded the wallpaper with the home and away Bruins jerseys and set it as my wallpaper for my lap top. It looks good.

Bruins sign Hamill, Curry, and Sigalet

The Bruins have signed center Zach Hamill, defenseman Sean Curry, and goalie Jordan Sigalet. From BostonBruins.com:
"Hamill was signed to an entry-level contract, Curry was signed as an unrestricted free agent and Sigalet was re-signed as a restricted free agent. Per team policy, terms of the deals will not be disclosed."

Bruins sign prospect Milan Lucic

The Boston Bruins have signed Milan Lucic to an entry-level contract. On Bruins.NHL.com, Peter Chiarelli had this to say about Lucic:
"Since being drafted, Milan has shown consistent improvement, which was highlighted by his performance in the Memorial Cup. He also demonstrated his considerable progress during our development camp in July where his size, strength and physical play reinforced everything that led us to select him last year. Though he still could use some improvement in certain areas, he showed us a lot with his offensive production last season. He plays like a prototypical power forward and we are very excited to have him signed."

On the BruinsInsider blog, Douglas Flynn says:
"The club did not release terms of the deal, but Lucic confirmed that it is a three-year contract. Entry-level deals for players drafted through 2006 have a maximum annual salary of $850,000, though bonuses can increase that total - and the cap hit for the player."

This is good for the Bruins as I think Lucic will be a good role player for the Bruins in the future. It's always good to have players like him on your team.

The Bruins have hired Craig Ramsay and Geoff Ward to be assistant coaches to coach Claude Julien. Ramsay was with the Tampa Bay Lightning for seven years as the Associate Head Coach. He won a Stanley Cup in 2004 with the Lightning. Ward last year was the head coach of the Iserlohn Roosters in Germany.
