Bruins defense getting thin with injuries

It was announced that Bruins defenseman Dennis Seidenberg will be out for 8 weeks after undergoing successful surgery to repair a lacerated flexor carpi radialis tendon in his left forearm. This is bad to lose him now at this time in the season.

On Monday, remember the high stick on Zdeno Chara from Alex Semin that wasn't called a penalty, well that high stick broke Chara's nose. On Tuesday Chara had the broken nose "fixed."

Defenseman Andrew Ference won't be available to play until after the season.

And defenseman Mark Stuart is out after undergoing surgery on an infected finger.
