There are rumors all over the internet about Marc Savard being traded. I personally don't know why the Bruins would want to trade him but obviously the Bruins are now stacked with centers, even though Peter Chiarelli has mentioned that Tyler Seguin can play wing. Anyways right now the big story is Savard being traded to Toronto for Tomas Kaberle. It has been reported that Savard has waived his no-movement clause and has given the Bruins consent to trade him to the Toronto Maple Leafs or Ottawa Senators.
If I were the Bruins I would not want to trade Savard in the division but if those are the only teams he picked then the Bruins don't really have a choice. There were rumors earlier that the Senators were looking to trade Jason Spezza, would a possible Savard for Spezza trade happen? Probably not since Spezza is a center. Or would a Savard for Kaberle trade work best for the Bruins since they traded away Dennis Wideman? There was a possible trade rumor during the draft that the Bruins would acquire Brent Burns from the Minnesota Wild for a forward and a defenseman but that never materialized. If I hear anything on a Savard trade I will post about it of course.
