Yesterday the Bruins announced that they have signed 4 players, forward Gregory Campbell to a 2-year contract ($1 million this year and $1.2 million the following year), defenseman Adam McQuaid to a 2-year contract (2-way deal for this year and a 1-way deal for next season), defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk to a 1-year contract, and forward Jeff LoVecchio to a 1-year contract.
I think the Campbell deal is ok, I wasn't expecting a $1 million salary, maybe something a little lower but we'll see what he does this season. I like the McQuaid deal too. I think he's going to be a good fifth or sixth defenseman for the team in coming seasons, and he's tough.
So now Chiarelli needs to sign Tyler Seguin and Blake Wheeler (Wheeler is going to arbitration later this month). Then he will probably try and get some cap space somehow.
