Last night the Bruins lost 3-2 to the Washington Capitals. The Bruins mainly played their young players last night in the loss. You can read more about the game on the Globe's Fluto's recap. There was some rough play, as Shawn Thornton and D.J. King met up and had a good fight. Gregory Campbell apparently hit Alex Ovechkin into the boards causing Ovechkin to slash at him. Even Blake Wheeler was playing physical. Wow! Wheeler playing physical, did that really happen? Can't wait for the season to start. The next preseason game for the Bruins is tonight against the same Capitals.
Also news that forwards Zach Hamill and Joe Colborne, and defenseman Steve Kampfer have been assigned to Providence (AHL). So now that leaves 25 players on the roster to travel to Belfast.
