Bruins lose again to Red Wings

The Bruins looked better today than they did on Friday but they still couldn't beat the Red Wings as they beat the Bruins 4-2. Coach Claude Julien changed things up a little by dressing Tyler Seguin and Mark Stuart and scratching Zach Hamill and Steve Kampfer.

In the first period, Tyler Seguin scored his 9th goal of the season and Brad Marchand scored his 16th goal of the season, a power-play goal. The first period would end 2-1 Bruins.

In the second period, Detroit would score twice to take the lead 3-2.

In the third period, Bruins killer Todd Bertuzzi scored his second goal of the game to make it 4-2 and that would be the final score.

Tim Thomas was in net for the Bruins and made 32 saves on 36 shots. Thomas is now 26-7-6, with a 1.97 GAA and a .940 save percentage.

The Red Wings led the game in shots 36-25 and faceoff wins 34-25.

Some notes from the game
Mark Stuart was the only plus player being a +1.

Daniel Paille finished serving his 4-game suspension after today's game.

Zach Hamill was assigned back to Providence (AHL).

Onto the next one
