Leafs beat Bruins 4-3

Mikhail Grabovski scored with 1:01 left in the third period to give the Leafs the lead. That goal would be the game winner as the Bruins couldn't get another one past goalie James Reimer, as he robbed David Krejci of the best chance in the final seconds. Phil Kessel finally scored against the Bruins during regulation as he netted two power-play goals. Kessel was a -2 and now -21 on the season which is near the bottom of the list in the +/- stat.

In the first period, Daniel Paille, returning in his first game back after his suspension, scored his 2nd goal of the season. Later, Kessel would score his first goal of the game to tie the game up 1-1.

In the second period, Bruins killer Grabovski scored his first goal of the game to give the Leafs a 2-1 lead. Later in the period Gregory Campbell scored his 8th goal of the season, a power-play goal to tie the game 2-2.

In the third period, Patrice Bergeron scored his 20th goal of the season to give the Bruins a 3-2 lead. Later in the period Kessel would score to tie the game and then Grabovski would score with 1:01 left to give the Maple Leafs the 4-3 lead and that was the game.

Tim Thomas made 24 saves on 28 shots. Thomas is now 26-8-6, with a 2.02 GAA, and a .938 save percentage.

The Bruins led the game in shots 35-28 and faceoff wins 31-28. The Leafs led the game in hits 25-19. Both teams blocked 16 shots.

Notes from the game
Johnny Boychuk was scratched as Steve Kampfer was back in the lineup. Kampfer was a -1 with 17:55 of ice time in the game. Mark Stuart was a +1 with an assist and a team-high 4 hits in 11:42 of ice time. I don't see how you can scratch Stuart with the way he is playing right now.

Milan Lucic (4 shots) and Nathan Horton (1 shot) both had 0 hits.

Campbell had a goal and an assist and was 6-2 on faceoffs.

Tyler Seguin went hard to the net during the game and was 5-2 on faceoffs.

Michael Ryder had a good game, recording an assist, had 5 shots and 3 hits in the game.

Onto the next one
The Bruins next game is on Thursday at the New York Islanders.
