The Bruins were able to score twice on their power-play to get by the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 on Sunday night and clinch a spot in the playoffs.

In the first period, Kris Versteeg scored for the Flyers to make it 1-0.

In the second period, Nathan Horton scored his 23rd goal of the season, a power-play goal to tie the game 1-1.

In the third period, Mike Richards was sent to the penalty box for high sticking Tomas Kaberle. Richards had some words for Kaberle but it was obvious he high sticked Kaberle. I'm not sure what Richards was saying, or maybe he was trying to get Kaberle to get a penalty as well. Anyways, Brad Marchand would score on the power-play, his 20th goal of the season.

The game would end 2-1 with the Bruins winning. Tim Thomas played in net and made 27 saves on 28 shots. Thomas is now 32-10-8, with a 2.00 GAA, and a .939 save percentage.

The Bruins led the game in shots 36-28 and faceoff wins 34-28. The Flyers led the game in hits 30-22.

Michael Ryder was scratched and Daniel Paille was in the lineup.

Onto the next one
The Bruins next game is on Tuesday, hosting the Chicago Blackhawks in Boston. The Blackhawks are fighting for their playoff lives so it will be a tough game of the Bruins.
