Bruins Shawn Thornton returned to the lineup, with his 40+ stitches, and came back with a lot of energy. At the end of the first period he put a rebound into the back of the net with less than a second on the clock. It was Thornton's 10th goal of the season.

In the second period, Dennis Seidenberg scored his 7th goal of the season to make it 2-1. Later, Gregory Campbell scored his 13th goal of the season to make it a 3-1 Bruins lead. The second period would end 3-2 and no scoring happened in the third period.

Tim Thomas played in net and made 30 saves on 32 shots. Thomas is now 34-11-9, with a 2.02 GAA, and a .938 save percentage.

The Bruins led the game in shots 33-32 and faceoff wins 28-20.

Some notes from the game
The Florida Panthers must be kicking themselves for putting Michael Grabner on waivers before this season started. Good job by the Islanders to pick this kid up, he can skate and score as he scored twice against the Bruins, getting to 33 goals as a rookie.

The Bruins fourth line of Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton-Daniel Paille was the Bruins best line last night.

The lineup last night is what we'll probably see in the playoffs. Tyler Seguin was scratched.

Onto the next one
The Bruins have two games left in the season. Their next game is on Saturday against the Ottawa Senators in Boston. Then on Sunday they play at the New Jersey Devils.
