Game 2 between the Bruins and Canadiens was tonight and it didn't take long for Montreal to get on the board and then go on to win the game 3-1.

In the first period, Montreal scored twice to give them a 2-0 lead. The fist goal came only 43 seconds into the game by Michael Cammalleri. Later, Mathieu Darche scored a power-play goal on a questionable Dennis Seidenberg interference penalty call.

In the second period, Patrice Bergeron scored the first Bruins goal of the series to make it 2-1. Later in the period Yannick Weber would score for Montreal to make it a 3-1 lead.

In the third period, no scoring took place.

Tim Thomas played in net and made 23 saves on 26 shots.

The Bruins led the game in shots 35-26, faceoff wins 31-28, and hits 35-27.

Notes from the game
Zdeno Chara did not play in tonight's game because he wasn't medically cleared to play.

Dennis Seidenberg and Johnny Boychuk were both -2. Seidenberg is now a team-worst -4 in the playoffs.

Patrice Bergeron went 14-7 in the faceoff circle.

Tomas Kaberle had a team-high with 28:04 of ice time.
