There will be a Game 7 tomorrow night in Boston as Montreal beat the Bruins tonight 2-1 in Game 6. I'm not going to go on and on about the officiating but it was just bad, really bad in this game.

In the first period, a Brian Gionta goal was waived off as the referee blew the whistle because he thought Tim Thomas had the puck but he didn't and Gionta tapped in a loose puck. Later in the period, Cammalleri scored on a 5-on-3 power-play to make it 1-0 Montreal. Near the end of the period, Patrice Bergeron was called for a phantom goalie interference penalty as Carey Price learned from his teammates how to dive and showed his skills. What a joke.

In the second period, 48 seconds into the period, Dennis Seidenberg scored his 1st goal of the playoffs to tie the game. Later on, Milan Lucic got a 5-minute major for boarding and a game misconduct. Jaroslav Spacek was the player who got hit by Lucic and he stayed down on the ice for awhile and it looked like he had a cut on the side of his face. Maybe caused by his huge visor? Lucic was going in to finish his check and Spacek turned his back at the last second. Lucic couldn't stop and what happened is the result. 16 seconds after the Lucic major, Bergeron gets a delay of game penalty so Montreal gets another 5-on-3 power-play. Bruins killer Brian Gionta scores to make it 2-1 and that would be the game winning goal.

The Bruins took way too many penalties in this game. Some were the officials calling dumb penalties and others were the Bruins taking dumb penalties. The Bruins did have power-plays as well in this game going 0 for 4 while Montreal went 2 for 5. The Bruins power-play needs to wake up and do something as it is really hurting the Bruins right now. The Bruins are now 0 for 19 in the series on the power-play.

Tim Thomas made 25 saves on 27 shots. Thomas is now 3-3 with a 2.16 GAA and a .927 save percentage.

Bergeron went 10-12 in the faceoff circle. I think that was his worst game taking faceoffs so far in the playoffs. You can see Montreal getting frustrated when facing Bergeron in the faceoff circle as Plekanec was cross checking and taking extra whacks at Bergeron after some faceoffs.

The Bruins led the game in shots 32-27. Montreal led the game in faceoff wins 35-27 and hits 22-10.

For those who are wondering, Milan Lucic will not face any disciplinary action for his hit last night. Source: http://twitter.com/#!/RealKyper/status/63238943960866816

Thanks for that, I was starting to get an ulcer. I was aghast when even a penalty was called on that "hit". The player was not facing the boards at the time of the hit, the penalty was accessed because of the damage, nothing more. That Game had tons of bad calls for both sides, I hope it is better tonight and we smoke the Canadians.
