Bruins 2011-2012 season schedule released

The Boston Bruins 2011-2012 regular season schedule has been released which you can view on Bruins.NHL.com here. The Bruins open up the season with a 3-game home stand, first playing the "new" Philadelphia Flyers (after they've made some big deals on Thursday) October 6th. Then the Bruins will host the Tampa Bay Lightning and then the Colorado Avalanche.

Some other games to note:
The Leafs and Phil Kessel will come to Boston on Thursday, October 20th.

The Bruins play the San Jose Sharks on Saturday, October 22nd. It will bring Joe Thornton back to Boston after Thornton had some comments about Bruins players not being suspended last season. Maybe Bruins fans can somehow remind Joe of his infamous dive in the playoffs this past season.

The Bruins have a home-and-home after that Sharks game I just mentioned above. On Thursday, October 27th Montreal visits Boston and then the Bruins go to Montreal on Saturday, October 29th.

On Thursday, November 10th, the Edmonton Oilers will come to Boston where we'll see Tyler Seguin (who now already has won a Stanley Cup) vs Taylor Hall round 2.

On Saturday, November 26th, the new Winnipeg team will come to Boston for a night game. Mark Stuart should be returning and if Blake Wheeler is re-signed, he will too.

On Saturday, January 7th, the Vancouver Canucks will visit Boston for a 1pm game.
