The Sharks came out taking the play to the Bruins as they scored only 1:12 into the game. Pavelski scored for the Sharks to make it 1-0 with a great shot that got by goalie Tim Thomas. The Bruins had better chances in the first period but couldn't get one past Antti Niemi.

Shawn Thornton dropped the gloves with Jim Vandermeer and had a good fight with Thornton throwing most of the punches. Decision to Thornton.

In the third period, it broke more open as Milan Lucic scored his 2nd goal of the season to make it 2-1. Only 29 seconds later, Milan Lucic would set up Tyler Seguin for an easy goal as they went in on a 2-on-0 to tie up the game. That was Seguin's 3rd goal of the season. Later in the period, Benn Ferriero scored for the Sharks to make it 3-2.
