Rich Peverley out 4-6 weeks

Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli announced today that forward Rich Peverley is injured and will be out 4-6 weeks with a third degree MCL sprain in his right knee. He was injured in the Wednesday's game at Montreal, as Hal Gill delivered a reckless and dangerous knee-on-knee hit on Peverley. Gill was not suspended or fined or even talked to about the dirty hit. This is bad news for the Bruins but they got to find a way to win without Peverley in the lineup.

Claude Julien on Peverley's injury:
"It's unfortunate," Bruins coach Claude Julien told the media in Winnipeg Friday. "He logs a lot of minutes during the game. With [Nathan] Horton out already, those are two guys that play a lot of minutes for us. It's going to be a challenge for us. That's just part of the game."
