Wild shutout Bruins 2-0

The Bruins game this afternoon against the Minnesota Wild was another letdown for the Bruins as they were once again shutout as the Wild won 2-0.

Tim Thomas played in net and made 27 saves on 29 shots. Thomas is now 24-12-0 with 2.21 GAA and a .929 save percentage.

In the third period, Shawn Thornton dropped the gloves against a much bigger Matt Kassian and it was a good scrap. Thornton had a few red marks on his forehead after the fight. It was Kassian in the beginning of the fight and Thornton came back at the end of the fight.

The Bruins led the game in shots 48-29. The Wild led the game in faceoff wins 35-33, hits 22-16 and blocked shots 24-11. The Bruins went 0-for-1 on the power-play while the Wild went 1-for-1.

Tyler Seguin and Joe Corvo led the Bruins in shots with 6.

Milan Lucic and Adam McQuaid both had 3 hits apiece to lead the Bruins.
