Desperate Sharks beat Bruins 2-1

The Bruins didn't bring enough of their game that they showed in the past two games to Thursday night's game at the San Jose Sharks as the Sharks beat the Bruins 2-1. The desperate Sharks got the lead and never looked back as they held on for the win.

The Sharks scored in the first period and then again in the third period. Zdeno Chara scored his 11th goal of the season in the third period to make it 2-1 but there was less than five minutes left in the game. The Bruins would pull Tim Thomas late but weren't able to get much pressure on Antti Niemi and the clock would run out on the Bruins.

Tim Thomas made 25 saves on 27 shots. Thomas is now 31-19-0 with a 2.41 GAA and a .919 save percentage this season.
