On Saturday the Bruins made a minor trade as they traded away forward Zach Hamill to the Washington Capitals for forward Chris Bourque, one of Ray Bourque's sons. This was going to come eventually as Hamill just hasn't worked out at the NHL level for the Bruins. Maybe a change of scenery for him will help. Chris Bourque has about the same reputation where in the AHL he looks great but he hasn't managed to do much at the NHL level. Bourque is an unrestricted free agent on July 1st so if the Bruins can't sign him it will just be the Bruins giving away Hamill for nothing. It would be nice to see one of Ray Bourque's sons play for the Bruins so hopefully Chris Bourque signs and finds his game with the Bruins.

Bourque has 1 goal, 3 assists in 33 regular season games in his NHL career, with the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins. In the AHL, Bourque is a point-per-game player, with 431 points in 422 games (146 goals). His only NHL goal came against the Buffalo Sabres in the 2008-09 season. Possibly on Ryan Miller? That could be a sign.
