It was a tight back and forth game with both teams getting the better of the play at times. There were also some bad penalty calls against the Bruins. Despite having their penalty killing streak stopped, the Bruins managed to tie the game in the third period and send it to overtime and then a shootout where they won it and remain undefeated at home.

Quick game summary
In the first period, no scoring happened but there was a good bout between Bruins Shawn Thornton and Devils Krys Barch. These two guys have fought each other many times over their NHL careers.

In the second period, Devils David Clarkson scored a power-play goal to make it 1-0 Devils, ending the Bruins penalty killing streak.

In the third period, Bruins Nathan Horton scored his 3rd goal of the season to tie the game 1-1.

In overtime, no one scored.

In the shootout, Tyler Seguin scored for the Bruins but it was disallowed as a moron in the crowd threw something on the ice which slid behind goalie Johan Hedberg. Seguin would have to re-try and he scored again.

Onto the next one
The Bruins are now 5-0-1 with 11 points this season. The next game for the Bruins is on Thursday, as they host the Buffalo Sabres in Boston at 7pm ET. It should definitely be an interesting game to say the least. In the Leafs-Sabres game tonight, cheapshot artist Patrick Kaleta was hit from behind and left the game with neck soreness/stiffness. He may be questionable for Thursday's game. Karma.
