Bruins beat Lightning 4-2

Last Thursday I was unable to write a game summary blog post about the Bruins 4-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning so here we go.

Quick game summary
In the first period, Bruins Nathan Horton scored his 5th goal of the season, making it 1-0 Bruins. Less than three minutes later, Bruins Patrice Bergeron scored his 3rd goal of the season, making it 2-0 Bruins. Later, Lightning's Steven Stamkos scored to make it 2-1.

In the second period, Lightning's Cory Conacher scored to tie the game 2-2. Later, Bruins Brad Marchand scored his 9th goal of the season, making it 3-2 Bruins.

In the third period, Bruins Nathan Horton scored his 6th goal of the season, making it 4-2 Bruins.

Game notes
Tuukka Rask played in net for the Bruins and made 24 saves on 26 shots. After this win Rask was 8-1-2.

The Bruins led the game in faceoff wins 27-23 and blocked shots 12-10. The Lightning led the game in hits 27-22. Both teams had 26 shots. The Bruins did not have a power-play while the Lightning went 0-for-3.

Nathan Horton led the Bruins with 6 shots. Milan Lucic led the Bruins with 7 hits.

Onto the next one
After the Lightning game, the Bruins were 10-2-2 with 22 points and their next game was on Sunday at the Florida Panthers which I'll post next about.
