Bruins beat Senators in shootout

Chris Kelly helped off the ice
OTTAWA, CANADA - MARCH 11: Chris Kelly #23 the Boston Bruins is helped off the ice by teammates Patrice Bergeron #37 and Zdeno Chara #33 after a collision during an NHL game against the Ottawa Senators on March 11, 2013 at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The Bruins were down 2-0 quick and Bruins coach Claude Julien called a timeout to wake the players up. After that timeout the Bruins played better and managed to tie the game up. The game would go to shootout where Senators Kaspars Daugavins tried a trick-shot move that you don't see much in regular season games with points on the line (unless you're a veteran All-Star like Martin St. Louis) and was stopped by Tuukka Rask. Next up in the shootout was Bruins David Krejci. Krejci made a beautiful deke move and roofed a shot past Senators goalie Robin Lehner to win the game for the Bruins.

Quick game summary
In the first period, Senators Guillaume Latendresse scored, making it 1-0. Later, Senators Kyle Turris scored, making it 2-0. During the period, Bruins Adam McQuaid gave Senators Chris Neil a push from behind into the boards, Neil went down and stayed down. Senators Patrick Wiercioch then instigated a fight with McQuaid and McQuaid got the better of the fight. Neil got up after awhile and came back to the bench shortly. I don't think he missed a shift. With 44 seconds left in the period, Bruins Shawn Thornton scored his 2nd goal of the season, making it 2-1.

In the second period, Bruins Chris Kelly got injured from a knee-on-knee collision with Senators Chris Neil. Kelly would not return to the game. It's hard to tell if Neil stuck his knee out purposely or not on Kelly. Neil did check on Kelly's condition with the Bruins after the game and said he didn't do it on purpose. Later in the period, Bruins Daniel Paille scored his 5th goal of the season, tying the game 2-2.

In the third period, no scoring happened.

In overtime, no scoring happened.

In the shootout, Senators Jakob Silfverberg didn't score; Bruins Tyler Seguin didn't score; Senators Kyle Turris scored; Bruins Patrice Bergeron scored; Senators Daniel Alfredsson didn't score; Bruins Brad Marchand didn't score; Senators Kaspars Daugavins tried a trick shot that everyone is still talking about as he didn't score and you could say cost the Senators a win (watch the video below to see it); and Bruins David Krejci scored to win the game for the Bruins.

Kaspars Daugavins almost converts on an amazing shootout move but Tuukka Rask comes up with a big pad save
