The Bruins had another slow start and blew another third period lead to send the game into a shootout where Montreal would win it 6-5. So the Bruins get one point whereas they should have got two.

During the game and after it, there were reports by credible NHL reporters (TSN) that Calgary Flames All-Star and captain Jarome Iginla was headed to Boston. But then later in the night it was reported that the Pittsburgh Penguins traded for Iginla, as Flames GM Jay Feaster asked Iginla about which team he preferred to go to and Iginla chose the Penguins. What a sad night for Bruins fans.
