Last night, while the Red Sox were beating the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 6 of the MLB World Series, the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Boston Bruins 3-2.

Quick game summary
In the first period, no scoring happened.

In the second period, Penguins Chris Kunitz scored a power-play goal, making it 1-0 Penguins.

In the third period, Bruins Patrice Bergeron scored his 3rd goal of the season, tying the game 1-1. Not too long after the goal, Bruins Jordan Caron dropped the gloves with Penguins Robert Bortuzzo in a not very eventful fight. It was Caron's first NHL fight and you could tell from watching the fight. Caron didn't look good throwing down and he should probably stay away from that part of the game. Later, Penguins Brandon Sutter scored, making it 2-1 Penguins. Later, Penguins Jussi Jokinen scored, making it 3-1 Penguins. Shortly after, with Tuukka Rask pulled, Bruins Jarome Iginla scored his 3rd goal of the season, making it 3-2.

Game notes
Tuukka Rask played in net for the Bruins and made 28 saves on 31 shots. Rask is now 6-4-0 with a 1.71 GAA and a .943 save percentage this season.

The Bruins led the game in faceoff wins 30-23. The Penguins led the game in shots 31-23, hits 39-30 and blocked shots 18-11. The Bruins went 0-for-1 on the power-play while the Penguins went 1-for-2.

Patrice Bergeron led the Bruins with 5 shots. Milan Lucic led the Bruins with 7 hits. Dougie Hamilton led the Bruins with 3 blocked shots.

Player notes
Matt Bartkowski was again a healthy scratch.

Onto the next one
The Bruins are now 7-4-0 with 14 points this season and in 5th place in the Atlantic Division. The next game for the Bruins is tonight as the Bruins host the Anaheim Ducks in Boston at 7pm ET.

The Bruins recalled forward Ryan Spooner today so he could play tonight against the Ducks.
