Bruins beat Blue Jackets in overtime

Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic blocks a shot, then takes the puck on a breakaway and beats Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky for the game winner.
Thursday night, the Bruins hosted the Columbus Blue Jackets in Boston and it was no easy game vs the last place team in the Metropolitan Division. The game would go to overtime where Bruins Milan Lucic would get a breakaway and win the game for the Bruins. Watch the game-winning goal video to the left.

Quick game summary
In the first period, Blue Jackets Blake Comeau scored, making it 1-0 Columbus. Later, Bruins Loui Eriksson scored his 3rd goal of the season, as a Zdeno Chara shot went off of his skate and into the net, tying the game 1-1. Scary moment in the period, Bruins David Krejci lost his balance near the boards in the corner and Brandon Dubinsky finished his check, which made Krejci's head make contact with the boards. Krejci would leave the ice but come back in the second period. No penalty was called on the play, probably mainly because Krejci lost his balance and Dubinsky didn't have enough time to react. Dubinsky has hit people from behind before though. Krejci has suffered concussions before so we hope that nothing comes of this hit. After the game, Krejci said this about the hit:
"I don't think it was on purpose," said Krejci. "I just kind of lost an edge. At the same time, his knee kind of went into my head and then the other side - I think I hit the board [with] my head and my helmet came off." Source: CSNNE

In the second period, Bruins Shawn Thornton scored his 2nd goal of the season, making it 2-1 Bruins. Later, Blue Jackets Nick Foligno scored, tying the game 2-2.

In the third period, no scoring happened.

In overtime, Bruins Milan Lucic scored his 8th goal of the season, winning the game 3-2 for the Bruins.
