Because of the mayhem from last night's Bruins-Penguins game, the Bruins have recalled forwards Matt Fraser and Ryan Spooner from Providence (AHL). Fraser has been playing well in the AHL as he's scored 16 goals in 23 games. For Spooner, this will be his second call-up to the NHL this season as he played 2 games earlier this season and recorded 2 assists.
Also, Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli gave an update on forward Chris Kelly and it's not good. Kelly has been placed on long-term injured reserve after sustaining a fractured right fibula in the second period last night, from a Pascal Dupuis slash. Kelly is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks.
