Blues beat Bruins in overtime 3-2

With two games left before the Olympic break the Bruins wanted to finish strong and without Zdeno Chara in these two games, it will be tough to win them. Thursday night the Bruins visited the St. Louis Blues and although they were outplayed in the first two periods, they came back in the third period and sent the game into overtime. In overtime the Blues would capitalize on a Carl Soderberg mistake and win the game.

In the first period, Blues Alexander Steen scored, making it 1-0 Blues.

In the second period, Blues Jaden Schwartz scored, making it 2-0 Blues.

In the third period, Bruins David Krejci scored his 13rh goal of the season, making it 2-1. Later, Bruins Brad Marchand scored his 18th goal of the season, tying the game 2-2.

In overtime, Blues T.J. Oshie scored, winning the game 3-2 for the Blues.

Game notes
Tuukka Rask played in net for the Bruins and made 24 saves on 27 shots. Rask is now 25-13-4 with a 2.11 GAA and a .928 save percentage this season.

The Bruins led the game in shots 38-27. The Blues led the game in hits 26-21, faceoff wins 34-28 and blocked shots 17-9. The Bruins went 0-for-4 on the power-play while the Blues went 0-for-3.

David Krejci led the Bruins with 6 shots. Matt Bartkowski led the Bruins with 7 hits.

The Bruins are now 36-16-4 with 76 points and are 1st place in the Atlantic Division. The next game for the Bruins is on Saturday in Boston when they host the Ottawa Senators at 3pm ET.
