Bruins make minor trade, acquiring defenseman Blake Parlett

On Friday the Bruins made a minor trade, acquiring defenseman Blake Parlett from the Columbus Blue Jackets for forward Carter Camper. Parlett is 24 years old, shoots right, born in Ontario, Canada, and is 6'1" 205 lbs. Parlett hasn't yet played in the NHL. You can check out his AHL stats on HockeyDB.com.

Parlett has skated in 37 games for the Springfield Falcons (American Hockey League) this season and has posted four goals and 14 assists for 18 points with 22 penalty minutes. In 2012-13, Parlett played in seven AHL postseason games for the Falcons and registered 2-1=3 totals after splitting the regular season between Springfield and the Connecticut Whale.

In total, the defenseman has appeared in 192 AHL regular season games (24 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack/Connecticut Whale in 2010-11, 122 games with the Whale from 2011-13 and 46 with the Springfield Falcons in 2012-14), accumulating 18 goals and 58 assists. In 13 career AHL playoff games, the 24-year-old blueliner tallied three goals and three assists.

Carter Camper has appeared in 41 games for the Providence Bruins this season, and has recorded eight goals and 23 assists for 31 points (third on the team).
