Bruins lose in another shootout, this time vs Jets

With the season coming to an end soon, the Bruins rested some key players, or they were out due to minor injuries, as Zdeno Chara, Tuukka Rask, Chris Kelly and Patrice Bergeron did not play against the Jets tonight.

The Jets tied the game late in the third period which sent the game to overtime and then it went to a shootout where the Jets came away with the win. Another shootout loss for the Bruins, which isn't anything new, as their team isn't built for shootouts and luckily there are no shootouts in the playoffs.

Backup goalie Chad Johnson played in net and made 36 saves on 37 shots. Johnson is now 17-3-3 with a 2.07 GAA and a .926 save percentage this season.

Jarome Iginla led the Bruins with 5 shots. Matt Bartkowski and Johnny Boychuk led the Bruins with 5 hits each. Kevan Miller led the Bruins with 6 blocked shots.

The Bruins are now 53-18-9 with 115 points and are 1st place in the Eastern Conference and the Atlantic Division. The Bruins have only two games remaining in the season. The next game for the Bruins is on Saturday when they host the Buffalo Sabres at 12:30pm ET in Boston.
