Bruins sign goalie Niklas Svedberg to 1-year one-way contract

On Monday, the Bruins announced that they signed goalie Niklas Svedberg to a 1-year one-way contract. Svedberg's deal is worth an annual cap hit of $600,000. So Svedberg will be backing up Tuukka Rask next season with this signing and Chad Johnson will be moving on to somewhere else.
Svedberg appeared in his first and only NHL game last season with Boston, earning a win against the Nashville Predators in a 3-2 overtime victory, making 33 saves on 35 shots.

The Swedish netminder finished the 2013-14 season with Providence (American Hockey League), compiling a 25-15-4 record with a 2.63 goals against average and .910 save percentage with two shutouts in 45 appearances.
