Penguins beat Bruins 3-2 in overtime

On Monday the Bruins took on the Pittsburgh Penguins and had some bad luck with two disallowed goals and wound up losing in overtime 3-2.

Quick game summary
In the first period, Penguins Sidney Crosby scored, making it 1-0 Penguins.

In the second period, Bruins Milan Lucic scored his 4th goal of the season, tying the game 1-1. Less than a minute later, Bruins Joe Morrow scored his 1st goal of the season, which was also his 1st career NHL goal, making it 2-1 Bruins. Later Penguins Evgeni Malkin scored a power-play goal, tying the game 2-2.

In the third period, no scoring happened.

In overtime, Penguins Evgeni Malkin scored to win the game 3-2.

Game notes
Tuukka Rask played in net and made 30 saves on 33 shots. Rask is now 10-6-1 with a 2.40 GAA and a .915 save percentage this season.

The Bruins led the game in blocked shots 14-7. The Penguins led the game in shots 33-29 and faceoff wins 27-26. Both teams had 31 hits each. The Bruins went 0-for-2 on the power-play while the Penguins went 1-for-3.

Reilly Smith led the Bruins with 4 shots and 5 hits. Dennis Seidenberg led the Bruins with 5 blocked shots.

Matt Fraser, Chris Kelly and David Krejci did not play.
