Predators beat Bruins in shootout 3-2

Last night the Bruins took another shootout loss, this time a 3-2 loss to the Nashville Predators.

Quick game summary
In the first period, no scoring happened.

In the second period, Bruins Milan Lucic scored his 6th goal of the season, making it 1-0 Bruins. Late in the period, Predators Mike Fisher scored a power-play goal, tying the game 1-1.

In the third period, Predators Mike Ribeiro scored, making it 2-1 Predators. Later, Bruins Reilly Smith scored his 8th goal of the season, tying the game 2-2.

In overtime, no scoring happened.

In the shootout, Predstors Derek Roy scored the only goal to win it for the Predators.

Game notes
Tuukka Rask played in net and made 38 saves on 40 shots. Rask is now 12-9-3 this season.

The Bruins led the game in hits 21-15 and blocked shots 17-14. The Predators led the game in shots 40-35 and faceoff wins 36-34. The Bruins went 0-for-3 on the power-play while the Predators went 1-for-4.

Milan Lucic, Reilly Smith and Carl Soderberg led the Bruins with 4 shots each. Dennis Seidenberg led the Bruins with 5 hits. Zdeno Chara, Dennis Seidenberg and Kevan Miller led the Bruins with 3 blocked shots each.

Matt Bartkowski and Joe Morrow were scratched and didn't play.

The Bruins are now 15-13-3 with 33 points. The next game for the Bruins is tonight (Wednesday) at the Minnesota Wild, at 8pm ET.
