Bruins start road trip with loss to Canucks

Last night the Bruins started their road trip on a bad note with a 5-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks where Bruins killer Shawn Matthias scored a hat trick.

Quick game summary
In the first period, less than two minutes into the game, Canucks Shawn Matthias scored, making it 1-0 Canucks. Less than four minutes later, Canucks Shawn Matthias scored again, making it 2-0 Canucks. Less than five minutes later, Bruins Patrice Bergeron scored his 16th goal of the season, making it 2-1.

In the second period, Canucks Radim Vrbata scored, making it 3-1 Canucks.

In the third period, Bruins Chris Kelly scored his 7th goal of the season, making it 3-2. Only 24 seconds later, Canucks Shawn Matthias scored again earning his first career hat trick, making it 4-2 Canucks. Later, Canucks Jannik Hansen scored an empty-net goal, making it 5-2 Canucks.

Game notes
Tuukka Rask played in net and made 20 saves on 24 shots. Rask is now 23-15-7 this season.
