Lightning beat Bruins and keep them out of playoffs

Here's a game summary blog post of the Bruins 3-2 shootout loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Quick game summary
In the first period, no scoring happened.

In the second period, Lightning Jonathan Marchessault scored, making it 1-0 Lightning. Less than a minute later, Bruins Loui Eriksson scored his 22nd goal of the season, tying the game 1-1.

In the third period, Lightning Nikita Kucherov scored, making it 2-1 Lightning. Later, Bruins Brad Marchand scored his 24th goal of the season, tying the game 2-2.

In overtime, no one scored.

In the shootout, Lightning Victor Hedman scored, winning the game 3-2.

Game notes
Tuukka Rask played in net and made 23 saves on 25 shots. Rask is now 34-21-13 this season.

The Bruins led the game in shots 38-25 and faceoff wins 33-23. The Lightning led the game in hits 35-23 and blocked shots 24-11. The Bruins went 0-for-3 on the power-play while the Lightning went 0-for-1.

Brett Connolly, Torey Krug, Ryan Spooner and Brad Marchand led the Bruins with 4 shots. Zach Trotman led the Bruins with 5 hits.

Gregory Campbell, Dougie Hamilton and Daniel Paille were out of the Bruins lineup.
