Bruins sign Jimmy Hayes, Brett Connolly and Brandon DeFazio

Today Bruins GM Don Sweeney announced that the Bruins have signed three forwards: Jimmy Hayes to a 3-year contract worth a cap figure of $2,300,000; Brett Connolly to a 1-year contract worth a cap figure of $1,025,000 at the NHL level; and Brandon DeFazio to a 1-year 2-way contract worth a cap figure of $575,000 at the NHL level.

The Bruins announced that they signed defenseman Chris Breen to a 1-year 2-way contract worth an annual cap figure of $600,000 at the NHL level. Bruins sign Matt Beleskey, Ryan Spooner and Jeremy Smith

Today the Bruins announced that they signed forward Matt Beleskey to a 5-year contract worth an annual cap figure of $3,800,000, with a no movement clause for the first two years. Beleskey is 27 years old, 6'0", 204lbs, shoots left, and was born in Ontario, Canada.

Beleskey has played a total of 329 career NHL regular season games, scored 57 goals, 55 assists for 112 points. He has a plus/minus of +1 and has 302 PIMs.

Today it was announced that the Bruins acquired right wing Jimmy Hayes from the Florida Panthers for forwards Reilly Smith and Marc Savard.

Hayes is 6'6", 221lbs, shoots right, and was born in Boston, MA. He has played a total of 168 games, scored 36 goals and has 30 assists for a total of 66 points. He has a career plus/minus of -12 and 54 PIMs. If you're expecting Hayes to be a power-forward because of his size, you will be disappointed as he is not a tough power-forward. He's more like a forward version of Hal Gill.
