Flyers beat Bruins in OT after 3rd period comeback

Last night the Bruins hosted the Philadelphia Flyers and we saw more of the same from the Bruins where they play good for a period of time and then it all breaks down. With a two-goal lead in the third period, the Bruins blew the game as the Flyers came back tying it up and then beating the Bruins in overtime.

Quick game summary
In the first period, Flyers Pierre-Edouard Bellemare scored, making it 1-0 Flyers. Later, Bruins Brett Connolly scored his 1st goal of the season, tying the game 1-1. Later, Flyers Sam Gagner scored, making it 2-1 Flyers. Later, Bruins Patrice Bergeron scored his 4th goal of the season, a power-play goal, tying the game 2-2. At the end of the period, Bruins Zac Rinaldo laid out Flyers Sean Couturier with a hit that was somewhat questionable and not needed since the puck was gone and it was at the end of the period. This won't be the last we'll see of Rinaldo laying out questionable hits. Rinaldo received a charging major and game misconduct.

In the second period, Bruins Chris Kelly scored his 2nd goal of the season, a short-handed goal, making it 3-2 Bruins. Later, Bruins Jimmy Hayes scored his 2nd goal of the season, making it 4-2 Bruins.

In the third period, Flyers Claude Giroux scored, making it 4-3. Later, Flyers Wayne Simmonds scored, tying the game 4-4.

In overtime, Flyers Claude Giroux scored a power-play goal, winning the game 5-4.

Game notes
Tuukka Rask played in net and made 32 saves on 37 shots. Rask is now 1-3-1 with a 4.40 GAA and a .854 save percentage this season.

The Flyers led the game in shots 37-30, hits 38-28, faceoff wins 33-24 and blocked shots 17-6. The Bruins went 1-for-3 on the power-play while the Flyers went 1-for-2.

Jimmy Hayes led the Bruins with 5 shots. Adam McQuaid, Kevan Miller and David Pastrnak led the Bruins with 4 hits each.

Matt Beleskey, Max Talbot and Zach Trotman were scratched and did not play.
