On Friday it was announced that the Bruins sent forward Alex Khokhlachev back to Providence (AHL) and recalled forward Frank Vatrano from Providence (AHL).

Vatrano will make his NHL debut tonight against the Montreal Canadiens. Vatrano is 21 years old, was born in Massachusetts, plays center and wing, shoots left, 5'9" tall and weighs 201 lbs. This season in Providence (AHL), Vatrano has played in 10 games, scored 10 goals and has 2 assists for 12 points in total. Those stats are from eliteprospects.com.

This move does not surprise me at all as Khokhlachev didn't really do much on a line with David Krejci. In 2 games, Khokhlachev had 3 shots and was a -1. All I remember of seeing Khokhlachev play was him dumping in the puck and I did not see the speed he has that everyone talks about. Speed in the AHL and in the NHL are completely different.
