Bruins beat Stars 6-3

Earlier today the Bruins took on the high-scoring yet bad defense and goaltending Dallas Stars. The Bruins finished the first period with a two-goal lead but let the Stars tie it up in the second period. Although in the final six minutes of the second period, the Bruins were able to take a commanding 4-2 lead and didn't look back, finishing the game with a 6-3 win over the Stars.

Quick game summary
In the first period, off the opening faceoff, Bruins David Backes dropped the gloves with Stars Jamie Benn but not many punches landed from either player. Later, Bruins Brad Marchand scored his 27th goal of the season, giving the Bruins a 1-0 lead. Less than a minute later, Bruins David Krejci scored his 16th goal of the season, giving the Bruins a 2-0 lead.

In the second period, Stars John Klingberg scored, cutting the Bruins lead to 2-1. Later, Bruins Kevan Miller dropped the gloves with Curtis McKenzie and they had an ok fight with Miller landing the best punch of the fight. Later, Stars Jiri Hudler scored a power-play goal, tying the game 2-2. Later, Bruins Frank Vatrano scored his 10th goal of the season, giving the Bruins a 3-2 lead. Less than a minute later, Bruins Patrice Bergeron scored his 15th goal of the season, giving the Bruins a 4-2 lead.

In the third period, Bruins Patrice Bergeron scored his 16th goal of the season, giving the Bruins a 5-2 lead. Later, Stars Tyler Seguin scored, cutting the Bruins lead to 5-3. Later, Bruins Ryan Spooner scored his 10th goal of the season, a power-play goal, giving the Bruins a 6-3 lead.

Tuukka Rask played in net and made 33 saves on 36 shots. Rask is now 29-14-0-4 with a 2.30 GAA and a .912 save percentage this season.
