Rask strong in 4-1 win over Predators

Last night the Bruins hosted the Nashville Predators and kept their small lead in the Wild Card race as they beat the Predators 4-1.

Quick game summary
In the first period, Bruins Patrice Bergeron scored his 18th goal of the season, giving the Bruins a 1-0 lead. Bruins captain Zdeno Chara recorded an assist on Bergeron's goal, which was Chara's 600th career NHL point. Later, Bruins David Krejci scored his 22nd goal of the season, giving the Bruins a 2-0 lead.

In the second period, no scoring happened.

In the third period, Predators Craig Smith scored, cutting the Bruins lead to 2-1. Later, Bruins Noel Acciari scored his 1st goal of the season, which was his first career NHL goal, giving the Bruins a 3-1 lead. Later, Bruins David Backes scored his 17th goal of the season, an empty-net goal, giving the Bruins a 4-1 lead. Shortly after the next faceoff after the goal, Predators Cody McLeod and Bruins Kevan Miller dropped the gloves in a spirited bout.

Game notes
Tuukka Rask played in net and made 24 saves on 25 shots. Rask is now 34-20-0-4 with a 2.35 GAA and a .910 save percentage this season.

The Bruins led the game in shots 31-25 and blocked shots 24-9. The Predators led the game with a 58% faceoff percentage and in hits 27-22. Both teams went 0-for-3 on the power-play.

Patrice Bergeron led the Bruins with 7 shots. Noel Acciari led the Bruins with 8 hits. Adam McQuaid led the Bruins with 5 blocked shots.

Zane McIntyre, Matt Beleskey, Tim Schaller, Colin Miller and Joe Morrow were scratched for the Bruins.
