Avalanche beat Bruins 6-3

On Wednesday the Bruins fell behind to the Avalanche by three goals in the second period and despite the Bruins effort to claw their way back to a 4-3 game in the third period, the Avalanche put the game away with two empty-net goals to beat the Bruins 6-3.

Bruins rookie Danton Heinen recorded an assist on Schaller's goal, which was Heinen's first career NHL point. At 12:57 Bruins Torey Krug scored his 1st goal of the season, a power-play goal, cutting the Avalanche lead to 4-3. At 18:26 Avalanche Sven Andrighetto scored an empty-net goal, giving the Avalanche a 5-3 lead. At 18:50 Avalanche Tyson Jost scored an empty-net goal, giving the Avalanche a 6-3 lead.

Game notes
Tuukka Rask started the game played in net for two periods and made 22 saves on 26 shots. Backup goalie Anton Khudobin played the third period and stopped all 9 shots he faced. Rask got the loss and is now 1-2-0 with a 3.75 GAA and a .870 save percentage this season.
