Bruins acquire defenseman Nick Holden

Today the Boston Bruins announced that they have acquired defenseman Nick Holden from the New York Rangers in exchange for defenseman Rob O'Gara and a third-round pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

Holden will turn 31 years old in May, was born in Alberta, Canada, and he shoots left. This season, Holden has played in 55 games for the Rangers, has 3 goals and 9 assists for 12 points, has a -3 rating and has 14 PIMs. In his NHL career, Holden has played in 7 NHL seasons (2 of those seasons though he played less than 10 games), 356 games with 107 points.

O'Gara played in 8 games this season for the Bruins, accumulating no points and had a -5 rating.
