Bruins take Game 1, defeat Leafs 5-1

Game 1: Toronto Maple Leafs @ Boston Bruins game recap video, on April 12, 2018.
Bruins take 1-0 series lead
On Thursday night in game 1, the Bruins were able to defeat the Toronto Maple Leafs by a score of 5-1.

The big story of this game would end up being Leafs forward Nazem Kadri and the three cheapshots he committed during the game. Kadri's third cheapshot ended up being the worst and stupidest play by him which got him thrown out of the game and possibly suspended. Video of all three cheapshots is down below.

Quick game summary
In the first period, at 5:28, Bruins Brad Marchand scored his 1st goal of the playoffs, a power-play goal, giving the Bruins a 1-0 lead. At 16:52, Leafs Zach Hyman scored, tying the game 1-1.

In the second period, at 15:43, Bruins David Backes scored his 1st goal of the playoffs, a power-play goal, giving the Bruins a 2-1 lead. At 18:22, Bruins David Pastrnak scored his 1st goal of the playoffs, giving the Bruins a 3-1 lead.

In the third period, at 7:41, Bruins Sean Kuraly scored his 1st goal of the playoffs, giving the Bruins a 4-1 lead. At 8:18, Leafs Nazem Kadri got a charging major and game misconduct after hitting Tommy Wingels as Wingels was down on the ice with his back to Kadri in a vulnerable position (see video below). At 11:29, Bruins David Krejci scored his 1st goal of the playoffs, a power-play goal, giving the Bruins a 5-1 lead.

Dumb hockey
There's always someone that does something stupid in the playoffs and in game 1, that would go to Leafs Nazem Kadri as he first put a knee-on-knee hit on Rick Nash, then he hit Tommy Wingels from behind, and then later he went after Wingels again, this time trying to injure him by hitting Wingels when he was down on the ice in a vulnerable position.
