With the injuries that the Bruins have, there are now more. Fernandez and Bergeron are out for a long time, maybe even for the season. Adding onto the injury list is Andrew Alberts with post-concussion syndrome (missed last three games), Glen Murray with a hip flexor strain (suffered it in Thursday's game against the Penguins), and Aaron Ward with a broken foot (suffered it during Friday's practice). It was good to see Shawn Thornton come back from his injury and play against the Blues, where he had an ok fight against Blues' enforcer D.J. King.
On Friday, the Bruins recalled defenseman Matt Lashoff from the Providence Bruins (AHL). On Saturday, the Bruins recalled defenseman Matt Hunwick from the Providence Bruins (AHL). Both young defensemen will help the Bruins' D as injuries are hurting them right now.
