Game 3 has started and the Bruins have killed off a Milan Lucic boarding penalty, which looked like a good hit. I will keep updating this post with game updates. The Garden has a lot of Montreal Canadiens fans which just seems wrong.
Update at 7:20pm
Milan Lucic just scored his first NHL playoff goal with a nice wrist in the slot. What a goal! Bruins lead 1-0.
Update at 7:26pm
Montreal is now on a power-play because of another bad penalty call. Aaron Ward was called for a penalty because he pushed down Maxim Lapierre after he passed the puck. What? Isn't that called playing defense? Bruins got to kill this penalty.
Update at 7:48pm
At the end of the first period there was a big scrum because of a late Latendresse hit on Mark Stuart and then Shane Hnidy and Latendresse dropped the gloves. Latendresse was holding on for dear life as he didn't want to get pounded. Hnidy threw a lot of punches but they mostly landed on Latendresse's helmet.
Update at 8:11pm
Montreal has tied up the game 1-1. Milan Lucic continues to play physical laying hits on anyone he can. He's hit Mike Komisarek so many times in this game.
Update at 8:40pm
It's now the end of the second period with the score 1-1.
Update at 8:57pm
Third period has started. Alexei Kovalev dives and Montreal gets a power-play. Unbelievable.
Update at 9:29pm
The third period has ended and the game will go into overtime. This has definitely been the best game of the series with both teams going back and forth with scoring chances and hits.
Update at 10:02pm
The Bruins have scored in overtime and won the game. On a delayed penalty call on Montreal, Marc Savard came off the bench as the extra attacker and received a sweet pass from Dennis Wideman to score on Carey Price. The series is now 2-1 Montreal, with game 4 on Tuesday at Boston.
Update at 10:30pm
Marc Savard was first star of the game with a goal and an assist, Milan Lucic was the second star with a goal and 6 hits, and Tim Thomas was the third star with 27 saves.
