Bergeron and Ference healing during break

While the Bruins wait to find out who will be their next opponent in the playoffs, players are healing with injuries that have had. Patrice Bergeron has a bruised and still-sore right foot; Tim Thomas is getting over the flu; and Andrew Ference is healing from a suspected groin injury. Good news is that all three will be ready for round 2 of the playoffs. There is speculation that the first game of round 2 for the Bruins won't start until Friday or Saturday.

Andrew Ference, out with a suspected groin injury, joined his teammates for practice for the first time since getting injured late in the regular season. The defenseman had been skating on his own the last week or so.

"He's very close to having a full practice with us," Julien said. "(Yesterday) he did almost everything. We predict that if everything goes well he should be ready for the next round."
