ESPN.com news services is reporting that Tim Thomas and the Boston Bruins have agreed to a contract extension, team sources told ESPN's John Buccigross Thursday. The years and money was not mentioned, but the deal is suppose to be announced on Saturday. Source
This is great news as Tim Thomas has been unbelievable this season. I'm excited to see what the Bruins do in the playoffs. This is a fun time to be a Bruins fan. With the Thomas extension, I think you may see Manny Fernandez not be re-signed and Tuukka Rask as Thomas' backup next season.
