In Monday's Bruins practice, defensemen Derek Morris and Dennis Wideman were missing as they had minor injuries in the last game vs Toronto. Also it is reported that Zdeno Chara has a minor injury from the Toronto game as well. Hopefully all three are back in the lineup on Thursday against Toronto.
Milan Lucic is making good progress with his recovery from a high left ankle sprain. Lucic talked about his injury:
I also saw an article on Stanley Cup of Chowder where Phil Kessel was trying to get Marc Savard to not re-sign with the Bruins. I thought this was hilarious. Why would Savard want to sign with Toronto which is obviously what Kessel was hinting at. Toronto is rebuilding and will be for the next few years and I don't think Savard wants to go through that.

"It's an injury where you can never really tell how fast or how long it's going to be just because it's got to be pain free before you get back," he said yesterday. "If you reaggravate it, you set yourself back and have to start all over again. That's why you have to be real careful with this high ankle sprain."

Marc Savard was on Dale & Holley on WEEI this past Thursday. During the interview, Marc Savard mentioned that he stays in touch with Phil Kessel and Phil told him not to re-sign with the Bruins.
"Yeah, I have. We text a lot. He was obviously one of the guys telling me to wait and to not sign."
