Game 5 between the Bruins and Sabres is tonight at 7pm. Stay tuned to this post as I'll be updating it when the game starts and throughout the entire game. For lineup changes, the Bruins should have the same lineup. For the Sabres, again Thomas Vanek is out, and on the Sabres site it said that Nathan Gerbe will be taking Raffi Torres's spot in the lineup. It will be Tuukka Rask vs Ryan Miller.
1st Period
7:10 PM - Play is underway.
7:13 PM - Mair scores and makes it 1-0 Sabres.
7:26 PM - Kaleta goes down, power play Sabres.
7:29 PM - Bruins kill the penalty. Myers got a penalty for cross checking, the Bruins to go on the power play now.
7:32 PM - Sabres kill the penalty.
7:43 PM - Pominville scores and makes it 2-0.
7:45 PM - The first period ends and Sabres lead 2-0. The Sabres led in shots 12-5. The Bruins led in faceoff wins 11-7.
2nd Period
8:03 PM - The second period has started.
8:09 PM - Bruins to go on the power play. Gaustad for hooking.
8:13 PM - Sabres now on the power play. Bruins defense saved a goal, wow.
8:16 PM - Rask making save after save with tired Bruins penalty killers. Bruins kill the penalty off.
8:18 PM - Grier scores off the faceoff and makes it 3-0 Sabres.
8:21 PM - Rivet going to the box for roughing, Bruins power play to come.
8:25 PM - Sabres killed the penalty.
8:37 PM - The second period ends, Sabres lead 3-0. The Sabres lead in shots 26-14. The Bruins lead in faceoff wins 21-14.
3rd Period
8:55 PM - The third period has started.
9:06 PM - Looks like Grier got hit in the head with a shot. He is ok, he got up and skated to the bench.
9:19 PM - 5 minutes to go in the game.
9:20 PM - Bruins to go on the power play. Roy in the box.
9:24 PM - Boychuk scores on the power play to make it 3-1.
9:26 PM - Ennis scores in the empty net to make it 4-1 Sabres.
9:28 PM - Bruins on the power play with 1:10 left.
9:34 PM - The game ends 4-1 with a big scrum which started because Gaustad slashed at Chara, and Chara went back at him and then everyone joined in. Game 6 is on Monday in Boston.
