Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli told the media today that center Marc Savard is out indefinitely with symptoms related to post-concussion syndrome.
This is bad news for the Bruins as Savard is a big part of the Bruins offense. Who will center Milan Lucic and Nathan Horton now? Krejci? Seguin? I don't know, but this also opens up a spot for a youngster to get a roster spot such as Joe Colborne, Max Sauve, and Jordan Caron.
"The latter part of the summer, he came to us and said he's been suffering some symptoms related to post-concussion syndrome," said Chiarelli.
"He's here. He's being treated. He won't be skating.
"I'll give you updates periodically when I have information. He won't be available to the media [and] I'll keep you posted as I learn the news."
...
"We are just being very cautious, and we'll take it day-by-day."
"Any time there's this recurrence, there's concern," said Chiarelli. "[But] he's a very durable guy. He's played hurt in the past.
"He wants to come back, and we want him to be healthy."
