Lucic has big night back in hometown

Last night the Bruins played in Vancouver and beat the Canucks 3-1. Milan Lucic had a big night returning to his hometown, scoring the game winning goal, recorded 2 assists, was a +3, and took 3 shots.

In the second period, with the Bruins down 1-0 to the Canucks, Nathan Horton scored his 16th goal of the season to tie the game 1-1.

In the third period, Lucic scored his 27th goal of the season to give the Bruins a 2-1 lead. With 1:13 left in the game, Patrice Bergeron added an empty net goal to make it a 3-1 lead.

Tim Thomas played in net and made 27 saves on 28 shots. Thomas is now 28-8-6, with a 1.97 GAA, and a .939 save percentage.

The Canucks led the game in shots 28-24, faceoff wins 31-24, hits 32-22. Both teams had 23 blocked shots.
