Bruins lose in overtime to Predators

The Bruins lost 4-3 last night to the Nashville Predators in overtime as Shea Weber, with one of the hardest shots in hockey today, scored on a power-play in overtime. Steve Kampfer got a holding penalty which caused the power-play in overtime.

In the first period, Tyler Seguin scored his 11th goal of the season, on a sweet shot going far side glove side on Pekka Rinne. One of the diving brothers, Sergei Kostitsyn, scored for Nashville to tie the game up 1-1.

In the second period, Colin Wilson scored on a similar semi-far shot, that was similar to Seguin's goal, to give the Predators a 2-1 lead. Later, David Krejci scored his 12th goal of the season to tie the game 2-2.

In the third period, Patrice Bergeron scored his 22nd goal of the season. Later, David Legwand scored to tie the game.

In overtime, Shea Weber scored to end the game.

Tuukka Rask played in net and made 27 saves on 31 shots.

The Bruins led the game in shots 38-31 and faceoff wins 40-27. The Predators led the game in hits 20-12. Both teams had 14 blocked shots.

Some notes from the game
Seguin took an elbow to the head from Patric Hornqvist, who got a 5-minute major and game misconduct. The Bruins though couldn't score on the major.

Dennis Seidenberg was a -2 while Tomas Kaberle was a +2.

If you haven't heard yet, well Predators Patric Hornqvist was only fined $2,500 by the NHL for his elbow to Seguin's head.
